The Espacio Fundación Telefónica opened its doors in May 2012. It is housed in the iconic skyscraper on Madrid’s Gran Vía, which is considered to be one of the jewels of early twentieth-century architecture. The 6,000 m2 four-storey venue hosts an open, diverse and multifaceted programme of events.
It promotes reflection and debate for all kinds of audiences on the trends associated with the digitalisation of all aspects of life, from a solid humanist perspective. Through exhibitions, discussion forums, workshops and free publications, meeting spaces are created to share ideas, learn, reflect, inspire and experience the value of technology at the service of people and its potential for positive impact on society.
In addition to the daily programme of exhibitions and events, the Espacio Fundación Telefónica offers guided tours, workshops for all kinds of audiences and educational materials that expand on our content. Through them, we seek to combine creativity and technology to learn more and shed light on a society that is evolving at a dizzying pace.

The Espacio aspires to become a key centre for Madrid’s cultural offering; a place that congregates experts from the worlds of art, science, music, literature and other creative disciplines. All this, together with its own programmes and unbeatable location, contributes to enriching the social and cultural environment that surrounds us.
We have 6,000 m² available for exhibitions, concerts, events, activities and workshops aimed at adults, young people and children, spread over four exhibition galleries, lecture rooms for workshops, and a 200-seat auditorium fully equipped with all the latest technology.
Find all the practical information you need to access the Espacio.
